THE WITCH THAT FOLLOWS US DAY AND NIGHT!
– Guru Amardas ji

Ego and Maya (money) are like a Witch who literally swallows selfish people and controls people who leave God and start following someone or something else. This witch can only be removed from our body with Gurbani to cleanse our body and mind and our heart is filled with God’s name. This disease of Maya (5 evils) can only be removed with the Herb called Naam-simran.

Our mind wanders in different times, goes through rebirths but doesn’t stay connected to God, and God has created this world of Maya (to test us and see who gets out of Maya and comes to God). God blesses us and gives us Guru who shows us how to stay connected to God. When our mind gets connected to God it becomes immortal.

Our Physical body of a human (when we could have been one of the millions of life forms) is like a huge Fort that we received with great luck, and God lives within us and doing everything from Maya to Simran himself. God does whatever he wishes whether it is chasing and enjoying Maya or rising above Maya and giving us Spiritual life. If we come to Guru and do Naam-simran, we are saved from all forms of Maya.
