4 Laavaan’s (Guruji’s directives for newly weds)
Marriage is called Anand-Kaaruj which translates to a Ceremony (kaaruj)of Eternal joy/happiness (Anand). This ceremony connects the couple getting married to husband God (in Gurbani both males and females are considered females). With God’s blessing human-females are blessed with connection to flawless-husband-God.
Laam 1: First blessing is Naam-Simran. A Sikh must do Naam-Simran and Gurbani is the only source of eternal knowledge for Sikh, through which we stay connected to Husband-God. Gurbani gives us all joys and happiness we need.
Laam 2: Second blessing is cleansing of Ego from our mind. We start enjoying Naam-Simran and all fears of this world are removed from our mind.
Laam 3: Third blessing is our desire/hunger to connect with God. We should continue to stay connected to our husband-God and praise God via Naam-Simran.
Laam 4: Fourth blessing is fearless-unshakable state of our Soul (Love and faith on God). Humans and God fall in Love with each other and we stay in high-spirits at all times and stay connected to God.
