THIS IS WHY WE NEED A GURU
– Guru Ramdas ji

God loves us unconditionally and only wants love in return and to show love all we need to do is Simrun (meditate in God’s name). We should stay connected to God worship/meditate (to God). God loves people who love God unconditionally because they enjoy eternal peace by connecting to God.

Guru (Granth Sahib ji) shows us how to eliminate distractions and connect to God. Guruji teaches us Gurbani and Simrun (meditating to God’s name) as a formula/path to connect to God. We should also seek company of people connected to God because they prioritize God and help us go from disconnected state to connection with God.

I give myself to people who do Simrun and talk about God. It’s with great luck with we actually do Simrun. I wish to always stay connected to God. My Guru keeps me on track. I feel lifeless without God just like a flower feels lifeless without water. Guruji deserves the most respect because with his blessing we are able to stay connected to God.
