THIS IS HOW A SIKH FEELS ABOUT GURU AND GOD by Guru Ramdas ji
I’d sell myself to someone who connects me to God. God: bless me with a Guru so that I can continue doing Simran (meditation to God) to experience you (forever). Bless me with Simran ability in both good and bad times.
Dear God, this is what I am willing to do in exchange of meeting/experiencing you:
Be content if you give me hunger and I’d see bad times as good times; chop myself into pieces and offer myself, and even give myself to fire; do the chores of a servant, and be happy eating whatever you give me; take my eyeballs out and offer you, I’d look for you all over the world; I will worship you if you accept me or push me away from you; if people respect me that would be your respect, if they disrespect me I’d still not leave you.
I don’t care what people say as long as I have you, but I will die a spiritual death if I lose you. I am going crazy to meet you, please connect me to Guru and I will give him my all. I will go through rain, storm, and cross salty sea water to meet Guru. I’d serve your servant too.
Like humans start dying without water, a Sikh starts dying spiritual death without Guru.Just like Earth starts looking beautiful when it rains, a Sikh becomes delighted. God’s true lovers become God-like and God protects his lovers. God exists in both Guru and Sikh. God has treasures full of Simran, and God decides who gets it. Trickery with God never works with God. I am trying to awaken my sleeping soul via Guru. I accept tough-love from Guru too.
People who listen to Guru, their requests are accepted by Guru and not by people who listen to themselves. I have given myself to Guru and willing to do anything to please him. Meeting my Guru gives me peace.
