SECRET OF MAYA – EVERYBODY’S BRIDE!

Kabir ji is talking about one form of Maya – Money. We treat money like a wife (someone who will be ours only). Maya is a wife that never cries when her husband dies because someone else becomes her husband and protector, it never becomes a widow. The protector of money dies and he wastes his (or her) life indulging in money (or material objects bought with money) and creates a path to hell. Maya is such a bride who is forever married who is loved by the whole world; everyone want the control of Maya. Maya is very attractive and it lures all beings but only one type of people find it poisonous – Sants (Sants are saint-like people whose life is devoted to God).

Maya always tries to look attractive, like a prostitute, but when a Sant pushes it, it stays away from them. It tries to lure Sants, but Sants are blessed by Guru and therefore it fears them and stays away. People who are disconnected from God see Maya as their lifeline. I see it as a scary Witch. Since I met my Guru, I realized the truth of Maya. I can now say that Maya has left me alone to chase other materialistic people.
