THE ACT OF BEING RELIGIOUS IS USELESS
by Bhagat Trilochan ji
When people change their appearance according to religion but don’t bring any change in their mind and didn’t experience God in their heart (mind), it’s nothing but a pointless Act of being religious. Everybody in the world thinks religious appearance connects us to God but they are all wrong because this is not how you learn about God.
In old times people used to take on a Hermit’s appearance and do what Hermit’s did (cover their body in ashes, wear earrings, dress up like them and beg for food door to door) but still didn’t find God because it was nothing but Maya because they didn’t do what was important to find God.
Instead of focusing on useless acts, we should remember God at all times otherwise our acts are useless – like trying to extract butter from water (butter can only be extracted from milk). Therefore, we should only do things that bring us closer to God and not waste time on “show of religion or sainthood”.
